Local Easter Egg Hunts

Grab your baskets and get ready to search for candy-filled eggs at one of these local Easter Egg hunts:

• Celebrate the spring season at the Westchester Farmers’ Market on Sunday, April 9 and Wednesday, April 12. On Sunday, April 9, the farmers’ market will have a free petting zoo and visit from a fire truck from 9 to noon and an Easter Egg hunt and story-time from 11 am to noon. All day, guests to the market can enjoy community booths, Easter crafts and live music. The Sunday Farmers’ Market runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Westchester Triangle, located on the 6200 block of 87th Street between Truxton’s Ave. and Sepulveda Eastway.

On Wednesday, April 12, join the market for an Easter Egg hunt and story-time from 11 am to noon. All day, guests to the market can enjoy community booths, Easter crafts, and live music. The Wednesday Farmers’ Market takes place 8:30 am to 1:30 pm in Westchester Park (across the street from Otis College, off of Lincoln Blvd.). For more info, visit westchesterfarmersmkt.com.

• Westchester Lutheran Church and School will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 15 starting at 2 p.m. All are welcome.

Westchester Lutheran Church and School is located at 7831 S Sepulveda Blvd. in Westchester.

• Our Savior Lutheran Church will host its 17th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. The egg hunt starts promptly at 2 p.m. and is followed by refreshments. Other entertainment includes arts & crafts, a taco cart and a movie.

• Join the Westchester Recreation Center for its annual Spring Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 15 at 10 a.m.

Guests can also enjoy free arts and crafts, games, and, of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny. The event is held at Westchester Park (near the Recreation Center), located at 7000 W. Manchester Ave. in Westchester.
