Our Best Of Readers’ Poll is our super-sized way to highlight all the best things about living and working in Westchester, Playa del Rey, Playa Vista and Marina del Rey. With so many excellent restaurants, businesses and organizations in the area, we love giving you—our readers—an annual opportunity to vote for your favorites. You are the real experts and you’ve been helping us honor these outstanding individuals and businesses since 2012. Thank you for being a part of recognizing those who make our community a special place to live, work and visit.
This annual Best Of issue is a great resource to keep on hand the entire year. If you’re new to the neighborhood, perhaps use it to find a bakery to buy that extra special birthday cake or to find the best places to volunteer to connect with new friends and like-minded individuals who live nearby. If you’ve been here for awhile, peruse the list to pick a restaurant you’ve never visited or for recommendations for a new financial or estate planner. These pages highlight those businesses that go the extra mile, inspiring the type of loyalty that gets our readers voting every year to make sure their favorites make our list.
Voting took place May 10 through June 21 and readers voted via a link from SurveyMonkey. Voting was limited to one vote per IP address.
The HomeTown News loves supporting our small businesses and shopping local. When we support our local businesses, they are able to support our neighborhood by sponsoring local sports teams, donating to school fundraisers, providing jobs and helping our community thrive. Each category contains a “Best Of” honoree and two runner-up “Favorites.” While this poll is a fun way to celebrate the best of our community, it only represents a small portion of all the great things that make up our neighborhood. If you don’t see your favorites on this year’s list, please remember to vote next year!
