Saturday, September 19 | 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.  The community’s favorite block party is back this summer on September 19! For the 11th Annual edition of the Westchester Arts & Music Block Party (WAM), expect live music, a packed beer & wine garden, vendors, food trucks and tons of family-friendly activities hosted by local businesses and organizations! There will also be activities in the Emerson Ave. Garden, giveaways, games and more! Organizers recently opened vendor booth applications and sponsorship forms for groups interested in participating in the WAM festivities! Early-Bird pricing runs through August 1, and vendors are encouraged to sign up early, since booths sell out every year. Saturday, July 4 | 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The LAX Coastal Chamber’s Fourth of July Parade will celebrate “250 Years of American Dreams,” at Westchester’s largest community celebration on July 4. The theme pays tribute to the enduring spirit of hope, ambition and opportunity that has shaped the nation since its founding. With the World Cup taking place in L.A. this summer, organizers are also hard at work on a few soccer-themed surprises. The event will feature approximately 50 entries, including floats, marching bands, classic cars, community groups and more. The parade takes place along Loyola Blvd. from Westchester Park to LMU.
